Welcome to Sibien.

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Sibien application.

By accessing or using the application, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with them, you must not use the application.

1. Purpose of the Application

Sibien is a platform designed to help people create, view and update reports during emergency situations.

The purpose of the application is to facilitate the location of people and improve communication between families, volunteers and communities.

Sibien does not replace official emergency agencies, rescue organizations, hospitals or government authorities.

2. Acceptable Use

Users agree to use the application responsibly and in compliance with these Terms and all applicable laws.

Users may not:

  • Publish false information.
  • Impersonate another person.
  • Use the platform for purposes unrelated to emergency situations.
  • Publish offensive, illegal or misleading content.
  • Attempt to interfere with the operation of the application.
  • Use the platform to harass, threaten or harm other individuals.

3. User Responsibility

Each user is solely responsible for the information they publish.

By submitting a report, the user represents that, to the best of their knowledge, the information provided is truthful and submitted in good faith.

Users assume full responsibility for any content they upload to the platform.

4. False Reports

Sibien may remove reports that:

  • Are clearly false.
  • Contain misleading information.
  • Are used for spam.
  • Place other people at risk.
  • Violate these Terms of Service.

We may also suspend or permanently block accounts that misuse the platform.

5. Content Removal

We reserve the right to remove any report, photograph or other content that violates these Terms or represents a risk to the community.

Content may also be removed when requested by the affected individual or required by a competent authority.

6. Intellectual Property

The software, design, logo, trade name, user interface and all other elements of Sibien are owned by their respective rights holders and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Users retain ownership of the content they upload but grant Sibien a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free and revocable license to store, process and display such content solely for the purpose of operating the platform.

7. Limitation of Liability

Although we make every reasonable effort to maintain accurate and up-to-date information, Sibien does not guarantee that all reports are complete, accurate or continuously available.

Users rely on the information published within the application at their own discretion.

Sibien shall not be liable for any direct or indirect damages arising from the use of the application or information provided by third parties.

8. Service Availability

We may update, modify, suspend or temporarily discontinue the application for maintenance, technical improvements, security reasons or operational requirements.

Whenever possible, we will restore service as quickly as reasonably practicable.

9. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising from the use of Sibien shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiations between the parties.

If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable law, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

10. Copyright and Third-Party Content

If you believe that any content available through Sibien infringes your copyright or other legal rights, you may contact us using the information provided at the end of these Terms.

After reviewing the request, we may remove the content where appropriate.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time.

The "Last Updated" date at the beginning of this document will always indicate the most recent version.

Your continued use of Sibien after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Humanitarian Purpose

Sibien was created to facilitate communication and help locate people during emergency situations.

The platform must be used exclusively for humanitarian purposes and community assistance.

Any use inconsistent with this purpose may result in suspension or termination of access to the application.

Continued use of Sibien constitutes acceptance of these Terms of Service and any future updates published within the application or on the official website.

14. User Content

Photographs, text and other materials uploaded by users remain the property of their respective owners.

By publishing content through Sibien, users grant the platform a limited, royalty-free and revocable license to store, display and process such content solely for the purpose of helping locate people during emergency situations.

Sibien does not use user photographs to train Artificial Intelligence models, does not sell such content and does not grant commercial licenses to third parties for that content.
